This window is located on the South wall of the Nave. It is a symbolic window featuring; the dove at the top and the cross with lilies in the center. The shapes around these two windows are also symbolic: the circle suggests both the perfection and eternity of God, the pointed oval shape which is called vesica piscis is a stylized symbol for the fish sans fins. Early Christians used the fish as a symbol for Christ because they saw in the Greek word for fish an acronym that stood for, "Jesus Christ, Son of God" . This window was a special gift by a women's group, called the "King's Jewels". |
